GIORGIO MURER, AKA "IL PITTORE".The entertaining musical journey of “The Painter” began early.

At the age of 14 he decide to enrolled at the A.STEFFANI CONSERVATORY in Castlefranco Veneto.

At 16 he move to ACCADEMIA DI MUSICA MODERNA, under the teachings of Franco Rossi. He graduated in 2006 specialising in latin-jazz.

At the school he also attended many drum clinics by famous drummers such as DAVID GARIBALDI, VIRGIL DONATI, DOM FAMULARO, ORACIO HERNANDEZ, TOMMY CUMPBELL and many others.

In 2003 he won first place in the over 18’s category in the national competition "BATTERISTI IN ERBA" organised by FBT Itaila.

In 2007 he decided to move to BOSTON, USA, where he continued to study with SERGIO BELLOTTI and SKIP HADDEN, professors at the BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC and with the prestigious GARY CHEFFEE, who previously taught VINNIE COLAIUTA, STEVE SMITH and others.

Through the years he has also played with various bands-artists: REVOLTONS - KIWI AMBIGUI - FRANCO ROSSI DRUM & PERCUSSION - ALBERTO MILANI- GIANPAOLO RINALDI -DELIRIUM X TREMENS - THE REEFERS- FABIO TRENTINI-PIERO TREVISAN-VIRGIL DONATI- FRANK WILKINS-TIM INGLES-ANDRE HAYWARD- MIRNA BRANCOTTI-THE FOOL FALL FAR and many others, alternating between live and recording studio. Currently he teaches for the MODERN MUSIC INSTITUTE in Treviso (www.modernmusicinstitute.com), LA SORGENTE music school (www.lasorgentemusica.it) and ARTE NUOVA music school (www.scuolamusica.it).

He is also a member of the VIC FIRTH EDUCATION TEAM (www.vicfirth.com).
